June 2010
Wake
Softly, Slowly, Warmly.
Brightly.
Rise up from your pillow lightly.
See the sun and see the real you.
Birds and flowers, trees are real, too.
Breathe in their kindness, in the sunshine,
Think today, ‘Today is all mine.’
Land of the Giants,
dancing like pagans
bonding on powder
misplacing our wits
sharing a beanie
fire plays in wide-eyes.
you got to know me
forgot in the clear skies.
Good morning you crazy ass-holes.
Feeling hot, thankless, full of fuck and ready to pop?.
Let’s
Radio-active oak tannin’
Plannin’ to run through the joints of the landin’
Disbandin’ the breakfast, christening the bread,
Wetting the stairs and ‘like a river’ she said.
Cast your glasses aside in the sauna!!
Rat poison steaming away in the corner,
Lights turn to fountains, the conundrum is deepening
All through your cupboards and floor-boards it’s seepening.
Head over leg as we dash for the switches,
Sauce-pans for buckets, should we take pictures?
Faces aghast, heart-beats a-throbbing
Fridges get warmer, plaster starts sogging….
Then all becomes quite, just some sporadic dribbling
We sit by our semi-boiled eggs wetly nibbling…
A can of baked beans, a moist piece of bread…
DRENCHED WITH RAT-POISON, TANNIN’ PLASTER AND LEAD!
MWOHOHAHOAHOAAHAHAHAAAAAAARRRGGHHHHH
